Account and fleet server

You create a Nexus Telemetry Fleet account in the console, console.nexustelemetry.com, with a company name and an email address. Console sign-in is a link or a 6-digit code sent to that address, not a password. The console lists your fleet servers, their licences and billing. Each fleet server has its own dashboard with its own sign-in.

Get started

Account

Enter the company name and the email address, and create the account. The console emails a link and a 6-digit code. Sign in from the link, or type the code. The code expires after 10 minutes.

Fleet server

In the console, add a fleet server as managed or self-hosted. A managed fleet server runs on Nexus Telemetry’s hosting. A self-hosted fleet server runs on your own host. Both run the same software with the same dashboard. For self-hosted, see Install.

Choose the name in the address your team signs in at, <name>.nexustelemetry.net. The name is lowercase letters, digits and hyphens, 3 to 40 characters, and is permanent. The console reports when the server is ready.

First sign-in

Open the dashboard at the fleet server’s address and sign in with your email address as the username and the one-time password the console shows.

Warning: the console shows the one-time password once. Copy it before you leave the console page.

Set your own password, at least 12 characters.

Beta licence

During the beta the console issues each new fleet server a 60-day licence. It covers managed and self-hosted servers. A managed fleet server’s licence is held in the console. A self-hosted fleet server is licensed by pasting the key the console issues on its Licence page. The collector limit is shown on that page. No payment card is required. The licence does not renew.
