Availability report
The availability report is the Nexus Telemetry Fleet page that shows how much of a month each terminal was up. It is a report for one organisation. Users with the Owner or Admin role can open it. Users with the Operator or Viewer role cannot open it or export it. See Users and roles for the roles.
Opening the report
- Open Organisations in the rail.
- Open the actions menu at the end of the organisation’s row.
- Choose Report.
The report opens on the current month. Two arrows move a month back or forward. The forward arrow is disabled at the current month. The month in progress is counted up to the present. Months start and end in UTC.

Up, down and unobserved
Every hour of the month is counted as one of 3 kinds.

| Unobserved | Nothing was reported, for example a site with the power off |
The headline is the percentage of observed hours, up and down together, that the fleet was up. Unobserved hours are left out of the percentage. The report also gives the number of terminals, the number of hours covered, and the month. Each terminal has a row. The rows are ordered by unplanned down and unobserved hours, most first.
Backup time
Hours on the backup connection count as up, because the terminal is connected and reporting. The On backup column also gives those hours on their own.
Planned and unplanned
Down hours and unobserved hours are each split into planned, inside a maintenance window, and unplanned. Planned hours are still counted, not removed. A note under the Down figure gives the planned hours, down and unobserved together. See Maintenance windows.
Incidents is the number of offline alerts open for the terminal during the month, and Longest outage is the longest of them. Going onto the backup connection raises an alert and is not an incident. Only offline alerts are counted.
Month strip
The Month column shows each terminal’s month as one bar per day: green for up, blue for planned, red for unplanned down, grey for unobserved. Days before the terminal enrolled are empty. In the month in progress the strip stops at today. Hovering a day shows its date and its percentages of up, planned, unplanned and unobserved. On a fleet of more than 60 terminals, each row has a Day breakdown button instead of the strip.
Export
Export CSV in the page header downloads the same figures, one row per terminal in the table’s order, and a final total row. Hours are decimals, and the terminal’s group is given by its id. The file is named for the organisation’s id and the month. The page can also be printed from the browser.
